Sotheby’s November evening sale of Impressionist & Modern Art achieved $422.1 million, the highest total in Sotheby’s history. Leading the sale were two sculptures, Alberto Giacometti’s Chariot, selling for an historic sum of $101 million, and Amadeo Modigliani’s Tête, which achieved $70.7 million.
